I'm looking to buy some new Michelin defender tires for my truck and was thinking of buying at Sams club. We don't have a Costco here but Sams seems to get ok reviews and the prices are in line with everyone else. Has anyone had good experiences there?

I've been using Sam's for tires for quite a while.
No complaints here.
Get the road hazard.

Great customer service.

Even if tires were not bought at Sams.

In my experience having tires put on, Sam’s Club does fine.

It can be a pain if they are busy, but that’s true at a bunch of venues.

I checked and they don't have the ones I want in stock, I'm assuming they will order?

I just checked and the tires I want don’t even give an option to order online. It’s strange because it’s probably Michelin’s best selling tire.

sams = walmart - is one and the same and both are good

the brand you buy is what is important, they have cheap trashy tires if you want to save money and then they have good brands if you want a quality tire, cant go wrong with michelins

If you know the size- I would just call the local sams to order them. I did the same thing with Costco and had them shipped to Ak

Just ordered and had mounted two sets of Defenders at Sams on our vehicles. They did a great job and there was a $70.00 credit on four Michelin tires plus the mounting w/road hazard and lifetime rotation/balance was another $60.00 off since on line special was for free. Right after that COSTCO ran a similar special for $.01/wheel. There is a new model of Defenders so hope you can find one or the other.

A good thing is Sam's Clubs are widespread.

I had used Sam's for several sets of tires until they put 2 different size tires on my truck. That was the last time I went to Sam's for anything.

I mail order tires from Treaddepot, Discount Tire Direct, Mavis Tire, etc.

Bring them to the dealer and have them mount, dynamic balance, and align the front system for $160 or so.

Still, well to the good versus a local buy and installation.

Occasionally Walmart or Sam's may have a killer deal on a certain tire or size so check first.

Also, if you time it right you can typically buy up to 6 months in advance and get a rebate from one of the larger manufacturers for up to $80 per set.
