Is there an official update on the movement? Looks to be headed due north now.

I thought bitch was shifting harder to the east and headed to Pensacola? Is the Eastern Shore still expected to see the eye wall now?

The KDR and ZDR paint quite the picture of rainfall rates in the eyewall. Very high concentration of fairly big drops for a tropical rain. Those rainfall rates are going to be immense.

Yep. That’s why I don’t live in a place like that. Damn sure glad I’m not in OB right now.

If you’re lucky they will relatively soon. Many of them hang out in the late night snack thread but you’d never know it because they aren’t coordinated enough to type yet.

Can’t pull up any radar or anything - how long until landfall around here? Trying to decide if I wanna try and get a little sleep before my dogs start losing their shite

The northern edge of the eye is about 10 miles off of Fort Morgan and the west end of Gulf Shores.

Unless she speeds up, it may be another 5 hours before the north edge of eye is on the beach and a few more hours from there to you.

You may only get the edge of the calm on the western edge of the eye.

Listening to the chatter on the Adair feed. Said the plane was almost back to NOLA and they turned it around to make another pass after a dropsonde near the inner eyewall reported 112kt winds. That's around 130mph. I know it's likely a gust... but that's strong stuff.

12:55 am. Gulf Shores getting raked by #SALLY’s core. Full-on #hurricane—much stronger than I expected. Whole city blacked out now.

I can't imagine that shite for that length of time.
