Flash Flood Emergency
That's one that doesn't get used too often.

Just pounding away. Pulling down trees. Backing up drainage outlets. If this was going to take this long anyway, seems like a real 2020 move to pull this at night.

Harvey was about the biggest a-hole of a storm I can remember. Hits central TX coast as a Cat 4. Then decided it's just going to stay and flood Houston because he was that kind of guy.

I remember one mesoscale discussion from the SPC that showed just why Houston was fricked that first night of heavy heavy rain and it hitting me just how fricked Houston was.

Prayers sent , there are a lot of trailer parks in the path of this damn thing in Daphne. I tried several times to get them to stay at my house in Springhill. They damn sure wouldn’t flood. This damn thing is all over the place. I was fishing in its eyeball last week, surface temp was consistent 88-89. They are now saying it may go to a cat 3

The amount of water that fell was almost unfathomable. The only way to wrap your head around it was to see it.

The disco was basically Harvey's leftovers are going to force all that moisture under a big upper divergence right over Houston.

Enjoy...

We lived in southeast Texas during Harvey. Our town literally became an island for about a week or so. At first people were driving all around site seeing and then after a while everybody started running out of gas and abandoning their vehicles in lines at the pumps. If I would have been smart, I would have bought every pack of cigarettes and beer in town on day one and started a black market business. I would have made a fortune.

I just watched a clip from Josh Morgerman from Gulf Shores. He's in it and will be in it for hours. I thought about how that would suck, then I remembered that he was in Dorian's stall just last year.

I wonder if he gets jaded to it at all.
