TWC just reported that a weather station near Ft. Morgan recorded an 82mph wind gust.

I have an insurance agency in GS.
Was expecting a ton of claims from this storm. Pleasantly surprised phones/emails haven’t been coming in...yet.

ACE on Canal might be partially submerged by tomorrow morning
Is ACE not on 59 across from Rouses anymore?

It rounds out to 970. It seems like they have their xtrap right for the plane pressure vs what the sondes are reporting. That's another 2 mb. I see an eye on satellite.
Looks due south of fort Morgan right?

Nope. Only 972 mb that pass.
It's also moving about due east?
This motherfricker...

Not sure. I was referring to the one in OB that's close to Docs

slackster I am on the Coast. Don’t ever doubt a coonass. I can be in Ft Morgan in 15 mins and I have the tools necessary. I only evacuated to keep my family safe and make my mother rest easy.

Got it. So a coastal beach town may experience 20” over a 24 hour period.
Are there many mid to major cities 30-50 miles from the coast that can handle that amount of rain without flash flooding?
No, but gravity typically helps those cities. In New Orleans, on the other hand, gravity is the enemy.
That rain is bad anywhere, but it’s worse in a spot like New Orleans. That’s the point.

That’s what I was looking at with the recent eye formation? Is this bitch just gonna hang out at sea and pound the coast?

That has been said collectively at the NHC over the past 12 hours, I'm sure.

It took y'all this long to figure who he was?
Fwiw, he fricked up on one of his really early posts and it kind of showed his hand.
