west end of Dauphin Island is already mostly gone so this track is not going to bode well for them unfortunately. Might be a few less beach house rentals for the snowbirds this winter.

There is a small street or court on the west end that is the same as my last name.

I would be willing to be that is underwater.

I don't understand construction on that section of the island. You build elevated houses or beach rentals right on the beach. Then cut a hole in the dunes to build a street.

At least Grand Isle has a little more common sense than that.

Also, there is a little bit of elevation in the East and middle of Dauphin Island. I went there this summer.

Pretty widespread. Don’t really know where this thing is going to go

Right. Still looks like the Sally can land between Terrebonne Parish and Baldwin County.

ETA: Katz just showed eye starting to peek out on visible satellite and he said HH also reported they see an eyewall.

It's always interesting how like today, there are dark clouds in NOLA but no rain.

Yeah

That graphic looks like it’s headed right for Destin but models are consistently saying Mississippi/alabama region

Ugh

Some signs that mid-level shear is pushing back a bit. Seeing a bit of degradation in the overall appearance. How long will that last?
