Just flipped it over to TWC. They would sell their souls to get this thing into NOLA. Only 6 reporters there.
WWL has more reporters outside of NOLA than TWC does.

Katz just showed eye starting to peek out on visible satellite and he said HH also reported they see an eyewall.
Did he say “with that being said”?

The EPS mean track to Mobile Bay? Huh.
Well track should be shifting more east at 4.

What would cause that sharp turn to the east? Front?

My neighbor had 4’ in the house for Katrina. This storm is no Katrina but if it makes a landfall near Biloxi we will be the right in the middle of the worst it has to offer! Good luck!!

Upper trough setting up over Texas. Its a subtle one but it would give a NE push.

Always got to have the obligatory right up the pooper Morgan City landfall even when 99.9% of the ensembles say otherwise.

Well Sally is obviously drunk at this point.

100 mph gusting to 107 mph
ETA: Now gusting to 117 mph
This is NOT at the surface. But if you were at the top of a 50 story building 500 feet above the surface...

I'm in Fairhope and it looks like this thing has steadily started moving straight to us over the last day or two
I’m in Daphne. I think this storm makes landfall in Mobile county or straight up the bay. We are long overdue and I believe it’s our turn to deal with one of these. Looks like it will drift towards New Orleans then push northeast. That’s what every single local weather person keeps saying is Biloxi to Mobile.
I’m trying to decide if I want to put up my cut to size window protectors that come with these new hurricane rated homes. Looks like a pain in the arse.

What is up with the GFS showing it looping back down south? Is it possible this thing gets back to the gulf?

HWFI model is like, "oh, I forgot New Orleans".
Probably get crucified for daring to ask, but is there any realistic chance of this thing making a loop and coming back into the Gulf like some of the models suggest?
NOT wishcasting at all! Just seem to remember a storm earlier in my life making some kind of loop and seeing some of the models resolving Sally back into the Gulf made me wonder.

They are going to be miserable. Hot, no wind and humid af. Good for them.

Casinos on the gulf coast are closing down and evacuating the hotels

Add in, Latoya's/JBE's severely limited outside entertainment options, when off air.
