He was scaring away a homeless man who had probably been loitering around the store. Sterling was never going to shoot him.

Sweet Jesus. Where did all these sterling apologists come from?

Distance is safety. Sterling’s hands were visible, Lake and Salimoni were drawn down on him and at a safe distance. Had Salamoni not gone in like Laron Landry for the tackle, none of this would have happened.

Excellent point. With the ability of hindsight it's a strong case that the tackle is what led to the need for Salamoni to even have to defend himself against the firearm. But damn, the non-compliance has to play a role here as well on the part of the deceased as passionately stressed by the Chief

By saying this, you are putting all the logic in the court of a drug filled criminal

Got no problems at all with black cops

I actually prefer black cops. I grew up in New Orleans so I have experience with both and black cops tend to remain calmer in intense situations probably because they're used to dealing with bulshit. White cops tend to panic and overreact and treat people like shite because they're fearful.

I'm not retarded and also not surprised.

Stupid people in situations do stupid things. Sterling and Salamoni are both stupid people.

One being a cop and the other a criminal have nothing to do with it. One was stupid, the other is stupid.

Of course it does, hence no criminal charges just a justified termination. The BR PD is going to pay dearly.

So it’s ok to threaten people with a gun as long as they are bums

Sterling lived in a shelter
He just sold drugs for cash instead of begging on corners

Tomatoes and bell peppers that he grew from seed in a little garden behind his house, back by the fence.
