Back in the early 70's my parents would threaten to send me to "Mandeville". Back then there was a big crazy house over there..That threat straighten me out real quick.

Knew a girl that went there. It didn't take. She's a tattooed skank now.

My dad didn’t threaten to send me anywhere, he’d just beat the tar out of me until I straightened out.

You been to that “beach” ??
Not exactly a ton of people clamoring for it as their go to getaway spot. It’s one of the shittiest beaches in America probably.

Must have been a coast or NOLA thing. I never heard of the place until the 1990's due a friend from Laffy went there around 1950's. There were a lot of boarding schools with day students back in the day, mostly Catholic and Christian Brothers run.
"Bad" Catholic kids from Lake Chuck were usually sent to St. Paul's in the 60's and 70's, if parents could afford to.

It’s the nicest coastal town in Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi. It’s a yacht club / harbor town and people are absolutely clamoring to be here. Look on Airbnb, says 300+ rentals in this tiny little town. Investments are pouring in. I’d call that clamoring.

He’s back in New Orleans now. Was in California for awhile and had a little trouble but he’s a good guy and grown up now. I’ve known his family for 30 years. Older brother is a Naval Academy graduate so he had some big footsteps to follow and struggled a bit.

shite, I responded to your question that wasn’t for me. Name matches perfectly, I didn’t see who your post was to.

When I was a kid, I thought Mandeville was a big crazy place because of the hospital.

Well y’all were both discussing him. It was to all including you. Thanks for the response.

Random fact, they have a Heisman Trophy in their second floor common area.
I had no idea until I waited by and realized what it was: LINK

That’s good to hear. He was really popular in school but wasn’t a dick so I always thought highly of him.
