Only ones worse than the dick in charge of safety is an HR manager. those guys have no sense of humor and are pretty much paid to harass you.

wtf are you doing where you are getting harassed by both safety and HR managers?

I'm just talking about those HR guys in general. Every job I've had those guys suck

I went to a facility where the safety guy locked all of the med kits. His justification was that he wanted to know everything that required getting inside that white box. Problem was that we'd only see him maybe once a day. Wasn't even there to let us lock out every day. He'd just sit in the control room eating and watching TV like the fat fricker he was.
If you see someone bleeding out, you'd have to find someone with a radio, get him to answer, and wait for him to waddle over to wherever you were to unlock the kit. Made me want to start bringing my own kit to sites

Also helps a company start one of many paper trails to get certain employees fired.

Seems like all these guys do is walk around watch people work then tell them what they did wrong based off what their "book" says
If by book you mean OSHA....then yeah. Safety exists because people like you would die doing stupid shite.
But stupid people is pretty much why I have a job and safety keeps you alive....so thanks.

I'm guessing he wanted injuries requiring treatment documented. If stuff is disappearing from the boxes, and your aren't recording any injuries...something isn't adding up.

Well...that's one way to make sure any complications down the road associated with an injury are denied compensation. Good for you.

Ironically, one of the biggest complaints you hear from chemical plant baws is that the company they work for doesn’t care about employee safety.

As a safety manager for a company that employes 4500 people it's obvious you have no fricking clue what a safety manager does.
Posted on 5/9/19 at 4:33 pm to TigersHuskers
Clients really don't give a frick about safety. They just don't want to get sued so they put all the onus on contractors with ridiculous super technical safety policies. They want production knowing you'll have to violate their policies in order to get it.
