I guess I'm in the denial stage. I just can't believe this. We've traded emails and financial tracking spreadsheets over the years. I feel sick. He was just celebrating passing the Level 3 CFA exam. I can't understand what happened.

I'll post the obituary if no one has any objections. It's relatively easy to find from the info in the MB thread

I started that thread ForeverLSU02 and wasn't sure about what to do. Thanks for posting.

Russian, I'm sick to my stomach. I have no idea what that exam was BUT I know that it must have been a bitch of one.

My husband knows his parents ... I do not. THF had mentioned once that his parents were selling the condo at LSU that he lived in and we contacted them but never did anything further.

I have 2 sons ... one at LSU grad school and one at home going to ULL, as well a daughter. I told each of them (well one via text) that no matter what is going on that is so terrible that they feel this is their way out, they need to TELL SOMEONE. TELL ME. If I can't help you I'll move Heaven and Earth to find someone who can.

I'm just heartbroken for these parents and siblings and fiance and daughter.

So true. A guy in my town battled those same demons and left behind a beautiful wife and a son and daughter. He was the finance manager at his dad's huge dealership and I am sure would have taken it over one day.

Seems just like Flask's situation. Young, successful, very smart. I never knew him personally but his posts were insightful. He also helped me make some money on OUTR through his short squeeze thread. My thoughts and prayers are with his wife and child. RIP Flask.

Same here. I am nauseated. This just can't be happening. Flask and I enjoyed the Money Talk Board. His sense of humor aligned with mine. He emailed me just last year asking for some career advice because he knew I had been in banking for quite some time and he was trying to decide which opportunity was best for him. He was so upbeat about his future.

This really sucks. But on a side note, you still have me. RIP Flask.

I wish more people would do this.

Sad situation for sure. RIP.

yeah these situations always suck from multiple angles

i've had a lot of people from my school die over the years and it's always tough

it's always tough b/c it puts a new level on the trying to put yourself in their head analysis

it's not a fun place to be. Many days I think about how unlikely it is that I'm still here
