So, Putin is going to become Russia's version of Robo-Nixon. Great...

that's one way to get a head in life.

In future news:
Russian man dies immediately after his head is removed. Doctor says, "Whoops!"

Brings "getting a little head" to a whole new level.

a human head can be removed and attached to physically healthy body.
It's hard enough to repair an injured spinal cord as it is, much less connect 2 completely separate ones. And I know he argues that a 'clean cut' is what makes the cord heal, but if that was the case there'd be a lot more recovery in patients with clean spinal cord transections from knives.
The really shitty part is that this is to push forward his work and I guarantee you he knows this patient is going to die. There's no way he could actually believe otherwise. There's pushing the envelope and then there's stuff like this.

They're getting a head of themselves here.

The Missing airliners have plenty of healthy bodies in waiting

Fixing the severed spine is a bit tricky.
Maybe if they figure out how to transplant the complete neuro system, but this is tricky on so many levels.

The donor should have quit while he was ahead..

I can think of a LOT of people who'd be much improved with a head transplant.

Interesting but theres no way it works. But I guess what the hell does the guy have to lose?

Science is finally addressing the butterface problem. Glad to see we're making headway.
