Here in Houston I never see cops pulling people over. Seeing 4-5-6 cars running red lights - blatantly driving through after the light had changed. Is this becoming a problem where you live?

And in before…

It's terrible here, but I got a ticket for running a red light in Houston 15 years ago. Still dark in the morning on the way to work, no one was around. I still contend the light itself was in the wrong.

I’ve noticed an increase in terrible driving the last year or so. People blatantly blowing red lights 3 seconds after it turns red. Gotta make sure to look both ways before going. It’s like driving in a 3rd world country around here sometimes.

About 15 years ago, I started waiting a full 2 seconds after my light turned green before accelerating. Used that 2 seconds to look both ways for idiots like that.

Yes and even had some on 3 lane roads. Cars stopped in lane 1 and 2 for like 5 seconds. Truck will come flying through lane 3 doing 50+. It's the road my kids daycare comes out to. It's a dead end and not busy but I've seen it to many times to not look even if my light is turning yellow !

I find that more and more people find traffic lights as recommendation and not law. That and they are too busy ticktoking their drive to pay attention

We have minimal enforcement here. Was just talking about this last night. If there are no repercussions, people WGAF - which is exactly what's happening.

A guy in our duck lease was going through Olla one morning on the way hunting. 4AM and not a creature stirring. He stopped at the only red light in town then eased on through. The cop parked down a side street was waiting and wrote him up.

Yeah, see it all the time. Saw a blatant, full-red full-speed run thru just recently, and there was a damn cop AT THE LIGHT. I told my kids that this guy was about to get lit up. Nope, nada, nothing.

Up in Monroe everyone drives around on CP time and with the laid back poor country vibe no one honks their horn. I’ll lay on the horn all day long at the idiots driving up here. I feel like I’m the only person in the town who honks.

In Houston, it is rare to see cops on interstate/highways, period.

I drove I-45/I-10/59/Beltway 8 more hours without seeing a cop than if calling for cop in Nola if had been shot in the leg.

I wouldn't need to do this if the lights were correctly timed to accommodate my personal commute.
