What is the deal with Jeep people? I see on twitter some people post about this shite (not about the ducks, but I've just seen someone post pictures of their jeep and the comments are just fricking stupid).

If I wanted a Jeep, I wouldn't want to be associated with other dumbasses.

I had to borrow my buddy's Jeep while my truck was in the shop. Motherfrickers in other Jeeps were constantly waiving at me. I found out later they have a thing - the Jeep Wave - that they do. Very odd.

Nice photos. Are those jeeps running or have their fuel pumps gone out again?

Asking for a friend.

It's a Jeep thing. Jeep owners put ducks on Nice Jeeps and vise versa. My Dad has a very unique custom Jeep and he gets them all the time.

The Duck usually has a positve saying or bible verse attached to the duck. Odd? Perhaps. Stipid? Not really - It's just a Jeep thing

I love my loud rough riding JKUS. I get a few ducks. I don't give them out. I participate in the Jeep wave thing. I have been called a lesbian in earlier posts and other threads. I can live with that. I've gone to places you normal fricks will never see. The ducks I get are one a shelf because they would be rolling all over the place if I put them on my dash. So keep them ducks coming and keep the waves from the "lesbians" coming.

I got a '15 with 75k. Never been pulled to the shop or out of mud.

It's been in the shop once. that was for an exhaust leak I couldn't find.

it's kind of weird, my wife has a Jeep and occasionally I have to drive it, I got ducked at the grocery store the other day!! they even wave to each other as they pass each other on the roads

I found a duck one day on the dash of my 45 Jeep. The odd thing is that I drive the Jeep around this small town and out in the country and I only get waves from other Jeep drivers 10% of the time.

I have an CJ7 and I don't wave to anything newer than 1986.

You don't have a Jeep, you have a Chrysler.

I have had 3 jeeps and just in my 87 Wrangler did the fuel pump go out.

Been meaning to make this thread (every time I'm driving and see a jeep person without doors, esp if their foot is outside the card) but I keep forgetting (because by the time I'm done driving I have more important things to do).

Can anyone explain to me this appeal of Jeeps?

If you're an offroader? I get it.

But city folk. Explain it to me. Do they ride well? Not from what I hear. Are they reliable? No. Fuel efficient? Fast?

my wife said she was channeling her inner 16 year old self when she decided to get one, where I live(TX,) it seems to be the official state car for 16 year old girls, kind of a novelty/status thing I suppose

There are a couple of theories about the start of the Jeep wave. One thought is that it originated after WW2 when vets started driving the old Jeeps in a civilian capacity. It was a way for the vets to acknowledge one another. Back in the 90s I would wave but I saw maybe 1 Jeep a day. Now it is 30 Jeeps. I do not wave anymore.
