Rouses said Monday that it plans to open the new market at the corner of Florida Boulevard and N Ardenwood Drive.
I hear the National Association of Shoplifters has already booked this location for their 2024 convention.

Give it 5 years open at max. Then it’ll be sold off and become a Save-a-lot, Shoppers Value chain type of store.

So they are in a food desert and get a tax break.
Is that considered a food desert? The Albertson's on Foster and Governement is not far from there.

Age showing here, poor memory, but there was a major grocery chain store that opened in N.B.R. 7-8-yrs ago & it didn't last 5 yrs. Will Sutton, the resident black liberal writer for The Advocate, wrote a story about its closing. He started off saying how proud he was of the community working to finally get a chain store there. When he heard it was closing, he went to the mgr & asked him why. The mgr, a black male, told him he had a huge problem keeping employees, safety issues, and shoplifting had gotten out of hand. Sutton had to admit, in his article, that it was a wise business decision.

Back in the day the boundary was the RR tracks along Choctaw.
Now it’s probably Government Street.
Before line it will be I 10/12
I don't know why people are down voting this. It's true. And 10/12 is already leaking culture.

It is 5 minutes from a Walmart Super Center, I don't see how that is a food desert. You can ordering you groceries online, delivered with your EBT card...
This is a solid location for a business who wants to make money, as long as it is run well it won't be the location that his the downfall.
Let me know when they move into 70805
