Weird that CNN stopped keeping its running COVID death tracker on 24/7.

The higher cases/lower death rate means this thing has already mutated into a less deadly virus.

Lake Charles had fireworks last night but blocked off any area you could view them from. We were supposed to stay home and watch virtually.

But Trump didn't talk about coronavirus during his 4th of July speech!!!!

Why do you want to kill people with facts?

Or we are grossly over calculating the new cases with things that aren’t actually new cases (we are), and we were very wrong in our initial death rate calculations early on (we also were).

How long has it been since the protests and how long is the Covid incubation cycle?

I read an article yesterday that Covid is really close to falling below the standards that the CDC has established to be considered an epidemic.

My limited knowledge on viruses dictates that a virus mutates to preserve its existence, not to kill the host in which is exists.
Is the endgame here to totally eliminate this virus or its lethality?

There is also the efficacy of treatment to be considered. There are indeed multiple strains also, I haven't seen any data showing anyone is less or more deadly than the others but that may be the case.

Depends on which lib you ask and what day.

Two things: it has been tending down with minis spikes this whole time. The spikes at the end of June are not real since they were dumps of deaths from March-June that were presumptive cases by states like New Jersey added to the mix over a couple of days that increased those numbers artificially for those days.
Someone needs to process the data to state deaths and cases by actual days they occurred for deaths and days the test sample was actually taken. That is what needs to really happen, not just count them on the day they were reported.

A big factor to this equation.

My take is that Covid-19 has been much more prevalent than thought, and it just killed off the weak first.

More likely the host is killed by the host trying to get rid of the virus.

Deaths don’t matter anymore. Cases are worse than deaths. Even one is too many! Better shut back down!!1!
