I'm in Cincinnati and spent the day at King's Island with my young adult kids. This place is a must for anybody's roller coaster bucket list.

I rode The Beast in 1983 at the age of 17, and just rode it again at 53 (twice). This is the 40th season for the ride, and it is still the longest wooden coaster in the world -- over 4 minutes. My favorite coaster anywhere.

They have all the genres covered -- rustic, wooden coasters; hi-speed modern with massive drop; loops, rollovers, nausea-inducing G's. No catapult starts here, but in my opinion they are overrated.

Such a great park. (And doubly great today with small crowds. Schools up here are still in session.)

I haven’t been since high school but I used to go every summer. While cedar point is my favorite place the beast will forever be my favorite ride.

The Beast is awesome. A great wooden coaster beats all the shiny twisty loopy newer metal coasters any day in my book. Just enough bumpiness to make it more interesting.

Ride it virtually Here.

I enjoy roller coasters, but I’m no connoisseur. The last wood coaster I rode was the one at Dollywood. I rode it probably 15 times including several times in a row. That coaster seemed to want you to be an active rider and really hold on if you didn’t want to get thrown around the car. I thought that was fun as hell. Most fun ride in the park.

Is The Beast like that?

Outlaw run at Silver Dollar City is a wooden coaster with a corkscrew- pretty awesome.

Used to go every summer as a kid. Also there is(was?) son of beast which at the time was the only looping wooden roller coaster. They also had drop zone which is a 300 foot free fall. I believe it was torn down because somebody got seriously injured...

The Zephyr at Jazzland/SFNO was the roughest ride I’ve ever ridden

I used to live about 30 minutes from there. It was a lot of fun and the only amusement park I've ever been to that I would go back to again.

Both Kings Island and Cedar apoint are absolutely amazing. Kings a island has more of that nostalgic feel with an amazing layout and Cedar Point is flat out a roller coaster enthusiasts wet dream. Coasters are next level elite. If you are going with family, go to Kings Islands. If you are going with friends, go to Cedar Point. I still get anxiety thinking about going up the first hill of Millennium Force. fricking insane drop.

They tore down the Firehawk this past year and plan on building a 300+ ft Gigacoaster, possibly the tallest in the world. Kings Island is only 90 miles from Lexington so the plan is to take the kids regularly when they get older.

Cedar Point has much better rides, but we're spoiled here.

Glad you had fun!

I love roller coasters. I watched the video of the beast. Looks ok/average but kind of soft. Maybe it’s long but needs better drops.

I had a season pass every year as a kid. Couple years ago went back and shed a tear when I found out there's no back wards racer any more. They both go forward. Viking ship anybody? Taste great---Less filling.

Only time I went to Kings Island, my dad's really important blue prints got misplaced, and my brothers and sisters and I spent the whe time looking for them. Luckily we found them just in the nick of time for his presentation.

They took away the backwards racer?!

I always remember wanting to ride outer limits over and over because most of the line was in air conditioning
