Riverside finally got me

I made it through 5 years of undergrad and 3 years of law school without getting towed, but they got me tonight. I thought the space I was in at a friend’s apt complex was a visitor spot, but when I returned my car was gone. They towed it at some point between midnight and 2:00am. It will now cost me at least $250 to get it back. The lot was damn near empty and I was parked way in the back. Should I make it my life’s mission to rid BR of this vile institution once and for all?

There’s a dude named Neil Sweeney (not sure if spelled right but close) that has been successful suing them. They are lying scumbags and the places that employ them deserve just as much hate.

I used to live at the Venue at Northgate which has a multi-story parking garage that is never full. My girl stopped by and stayed at my apartment for less than an hour. When I walked her back to her car in the garage, we frantically searched for her SUV thinking maybe she parked on a different story than she thought.
Nothing.
We called Riverside and they said, "Yeah, it's ours. We towed it out of there at approximately XX:XX PM." Verbatim. I was fricking livid.
Seriously surprised no one has gone 1992 LA rioter on that place yet.

They towed my parents from my apartment complex sophomore year when they came to visit. They take cash only and don’t give change back. Assholes

Bastards got me once, I MF that dude up and down and he wasn't phased one bit. You could tell that this happens to him very often.. The cop on the property low key told me that they deserved it, but if I kept going I would get arrested. I’ve never been so damn pissed that they towed it from The Villas at Riverbend (I think that’s what it’s called now) to their place for $300. I wanna say it’s about 3 miles tops, should be illegal.

That was different. He proved they staged cars in grocery store parking lots which is illegal as frick. They were hauling a buch of cars from a complex to a nearby lot first. The owner assumed it was gone to Riversides lot. Then they'd take their time towing one by one to the River Road Lot.

Their biggest scam was towing towing cars on Friday and Saturday nights but not opening until 12:01 at night for you to get your car back. They would then charge you an extra “overnight fee” to get your car back. Everything else aside, the sheer gall to manipulate the rules in that way tells me they deserve to burn in hell.
They used to have the contract for the municipal parking garage downtown. Up until they towed a state Senators car one evening and gave him their typical frick You attitude when he tried to explain he had a Legislative Parking Pass. They got their contract pulled.
