That guy would be Lin Wood, his attorney.

So...are you going to provide links to Kyle's criminal record or not?

And you're too fricking stupid to realize that the rioters were nothing more than dumbasses who DID get themselves killed.

Also, since we're talking about bringing guns to a riot and how that makes one instantly guilty, are we just gonna ignore the gun Mr. Where's My Right Arm is shown holding?

Of course you are.

Kyle Rittenhouse is not authorized to arrest, detain or prosecute anyone.
Is there any report or evidence that he illegally attempted to arrest, detain or prosecute someone?

The kid was a dumbass in my opinion for doing what he did, but I haven't seen anything yet to show me he wasn't justified in defending himself. I haven't paid close attention, but the only thing I've seen is video of him being chased by a mob, him retreating until he fell, and then using his weapon to defend himself.

One primary problem is that he went out on the street with a loaded AR to make some undefined political stand by making a show that he could kill people. That created a charged situation which led to the two shootings.

Ask yourself this. If he had not taken the AR out, would any confrontation have occurred? Of course not. Also consider that he had the look and presentation of a mass shooter. If you are in mass and Rittenhouse walked in looking exactly as he did that night, what would you reasonably assume? Probably that he is there to kill people. You may try to subdue or disarm him to save others.

Therein lies the problem. While Rittenhouse may or may not have intended to kill people, he created a situation of intense danger by what he did.

Now, after he has shot one person in the head, isn't it even more reasonable for the crowd to believe that he is there to mass murder? At that point, wouldn't it be an act of duty to try to subdue him?

No one would be dead and no one would have tried to subdue him if he hadn't gone out at night to present himself as a killer.

Rittenhouse is not a hero. He has his own criminal record. The right wing lunatics are declaring him a hero for shooting people who may have had different political views. That is sick.

Last time I saw, all of these “peaceful protestors” weren’t actually all too peaceful, regardless of who they were coming into contact with. Look at all of the people leaving the White House last night without guns.

Also, Nothing like the Masses I attend. I don’t know about you, though.

He brought a gun across state lines.
There's nothing illegal about that.

Federal law allows it.
quote:

A provision of the federal law known as the Firearms Owners’ Protection Act, or FOPA, protects those who are transporting firearms for lawful purposes from local restrictions which would otherwise prohibit passage.

Under FOPA, notwithstanding any state or local law, a person is entitled to transport a firearm from any place where he or she may lawfully possess and carry such firearm to any other place where he or she may lawfully possess and carry it, if the firearm is unloaded and locked out of reach. In vehicles without a trunk, the unloaded firearm must be in a locked container other than the glove compartment or console. Ammunition that is either locked out of reach in the trunk or in a locked container other than the glove compartment or console is also covered.

State law allows it. Wisconsin both allows open carry, and they grant reciprocity to Illinois residents.

The only possible issue is that the reciprocation law reads that it is for individuals 21 and older.

That’s the rub. How can we say that in all of these high profile police shootings that they are justified in “fearing for their lives” but we’re also supposed to believe that nobody was scared of Rittenhouse?

Can’t have it both ways. He looked like a threat.

He was literally running away from the mob trying to attack him. Every time he fired his gun someone was trying to take the gun from him, was hitting him in the back of the head with a skateboard, or had drawn a pistol and was about to shoot him. He never had an offensive posture during the entire incident. All his shots were clearly in self defense. He will likely get convicted on the underage minor in possession of a deadly weapon charge, but with credit for time served will be looking at just a few months in jail.
