I saw him back in the early '80's in Tad Gormley stadium for an outdoor kind of Day of Rock with LeRoux, Loverboy and Foreigner. Right before the show Ozzy decided to shave all of his hair off. In the process he cut his head up pretty good so when he walked out after the intro he was bleeding in places on his head. It was a total surprise since everyone was expecting long haired Ozzy.

And I think this was just days or weeks after the death of Randy Rhodes. Would have been one of Brad's early appearances with Ozzy, if not the first.

He was and his diagnosis was progressively getting worse.
During his final performance, he was strapped into the bat throne with seatbelts that was built around an electric wheelchair. The biggest fear was Ozzy falling out of the throne/chair. You could see Ozzy desperately wanting to get out of the chair and walk around the stage with Geezer and Tony. He only managed to sing 5 songs as his health and physical condition wouldn't allow him to perform a whole show.

There will be lots of speculation if this was an assisted suicide. He and Sharon had a pact that when he was ready to go, it would be go time.

Looks like you called it.

Saw him when I was a senior in High School in Atlanta. Worst show Ive ever been to and I am certainly a fan. Was so loud and distorted, my ears rang for a week and I barely recognized a single song. Left half way through

Dude has seen some shite that is for sure

RIP

I got a promotional copy of Blizzard Of Oz from my uncle who ran a radio station and wouldn’t play it.

Sat there with my friends and dropped the needle and “I Don’t Know” played - we were blown away.

Then the second song came on.

As George Jones said, "Who's gonna fill their shoes?"

The end of an era we'd never seen before. Thank you so much for all you gave us, Ozzy.
