We were almost able to see Jimmy Buffett's final show ever. He scheduled a one off "Coast of Carolina" show and we grabbed tickets. Not long after that the show was postponed and he put out a message talking about a procedure he needed to have done and then months later we heard of his passing.

Phil Collins was a fanatic about the Alamo, at one point having the largest personal collection of Alamo relics in the world.
I think he donated it all back to the Alamo a few years ago

MTV should have had a televised cage match between him and Ozzy in the 80’s.
Ozzy would have torn(or bitten,) Collins' head off

I saw him number times by himself.............but saw him every summer on Ozzfest from 1997 to 2009.

No disrespect but the Osbournes was over 20 years ago and he seemed like he could drop at any minute on the show. RIP. True Legend.

I was at his concert about a week ago. Very lucky to have gotten to see him in person. RIP Ozzman TYFYS
That's cool. The man once threw a full bucket of water in my face, laughed about it and pointed at me. It was a hot July day in 1989 and I was up against the barricade watching the show.

His music was incredibly influential on me, but truthfully, that was almost completely Randy. And of course, it’s amazing he made it as long as he did.
He couldn’t sing. He shouted. He admitted this himself (“I’m an entertainer, not a singer “). I love his first two albums, but, as you said, they were basically Randy’s work. Dio was 10 times the vocalist, and Tony Iommi has noted H&H and Mob Rules as the most artistically satisfying albums he ever made. I think they were indeed the best Sabbath ever cut.
My favorite Ozzy album is actually Tribute, the live album with Randy at their early 80’s peak. That was one hell of a concert band.

The Osbournes was one of the first if not the first reality tv shows.
The Osbournes aired in 2002-2005. MTV's Real World began in 1992 a full decade earlier. As a huge Ozzy fan, I didn't care for the show since it was to Hollywood scripted and appeared fake

I liked his music but he was an evil dude so no need to revere him in death like it was some kind of tragic loss.
Watch this and tell me his life is worth celebrating:
What was evil about the lyrics or video? Are you high?

A lot of what people thought was his dark music was actually pretty spiritual
I read long ago that he always said his favorite book was the Bible
According to wikipedia he was a practicing Anglican an prayed before every show. I bet the conversation between him and St Peter at the Pearly Gates is an interesting one.
RIP. Prince of Darkness.

Pete: wait, is that...no it can't be. I'll be damned

Ozzy informed his son Jack on an episode of their travel series that he wasn't singing in praise of Satan, rather he was trying to warn people about him.

I first associated him with Iron Man but hadn’t really listened to that song closely in a while until this morning.
It’s a legendary song but I usually change the station from hearing it so much in youth. I heard it on Sirius 26 around 8am this morning and turned it up loud for some reason.

I hope there are seats and popcorn for the souls waiting in line behind him.
