I can’t sleep cuz I keep thinking about Norm. I just hope that he found peace. I hope that he was able to accept the faith he longed for. The man had such terrible demons and had been looking for salvation.

Just hope he was able to accept it.. and I hope that we all have a light waiting for us at the end of the tunnel.

Ugh…

If you can find the Norm Macdonald Live episodes, they are great and show a different side of him as an interviewer. The first three episodes are on YouTube, and the others are on a free site. Netflix got the rights to it when they signed rhe deal for Norm Macdonald has a Show. They're good interviews with a wide range of guests from Mike Tyson to Judge Judy.

I've been a huge fan since the first time I saw him.

About 20 years ago, he was a regular headliner at the Mirage in Vegas, and he was notorious for spending hours at the poker tables there. (Rumor on the floor was that part of his gig at the Mirage was in exchange for paying off his gambling debts).

One night, I was fortunate enough to get seated at his table. He was just a normal guy. No shtick, not pretentious at all. Just like a guy you'd have over for your home game, and his attitude made it easy for the entire table to treat him like a normal guy.

No one was star-struck and no one patronized him. Just a bunch of guys playing poker.

Wonderful guy. A very talented man that I'll truly miss.

If you have a chance to watch the Mike Tyson Mysteries, a cartoon on Adult Swim/Cartoon Network, Norm did the voice of Pigeon.

He usually stole the show, every episode.

He had one of the best covid jokes.

He was doing an appearance soon after the first celebrity with covid went public. He kept referring to it as "Tom Hanks Disease."

I used to love his show that played for a few seasons. The sit-com. His wife was hot and I think he had a dog named Weinie Dog.

I highly recommend Norm’s interview with Bob Einstein (Super Dave and Marty Funkhauser from Curb Your Enthusiasm).

Two guys with the most unique senses of humor just bullshitting and feeding off each other. It’s is so damn funny.

Makes me really sad knowing they’re both gone now.

My favorite joke of all time, bar none. I could listen to that joke a thousand times and still laugh hysterically.

A few more of some of my favorite Norm Update jokes:

quote:

Standing outside a New York City courtroom this week, Paula Jones was berated by passing New Yorkers who called her names such as “slut” and “whore.” Observers say the situation grew even worse when the crowd realized who she was.

quote:

Well a sad story from the world of entertainment this week, actor Bob Bell better known to millions as Bozo the Clown has died at the age of 75. Commenting on his passing President Clinton said “You know for 50,000 dollars he could be buried next to JFK.”

quote:

"Paul McCartney will take part in this first live online chat May 17, and a record two and a half million calls have already come in for people hoping to have an actual moment of contact with the former Beatle. Although it should be noted that 2 million of those calls came from Ringo Starr."

quote:

While in the hospital, Michael Jackson had his room specially decorated with two huge photos of Shirley Temple, but we here at Update have the responsibility to make sure you don’t get the wrong idea here: Michael Jackson is a homosexual pedophile.

quote:

Well, according to published reports, Michael Jackson's wife is now pregnant with the pop star's second child. Asked why he decided to become a father again so soon, Jackson explained that his seven-month-old son is starting to lose his looks.

quote:

And finally, the number one selling doll this Christmas is Tickle Me Elmo. And the least popular selling doll? You guessed it: Tickle Me Frank Stallone.

That's one of the first three episodes of Norm Macdonald Live that are still on YouTube. It is the very first one. Norm was great friends with Super Dave, and it took alot out of him when he died.

I need to go find the rest of those episodes.
