He may have been good at singing pop songs, but one of the greatest vocalist of all time......not even close.

I couldn't take a list of Top 10 male vocalists of all time without GM seriously

Rest in peace, George Michael.

Faith was an incredible. Before he came out women were throwing themselves at him in the 80's.
True..I went to a costume party back in the mid 80's and I dressed as GM. I got laid by a hot chick, she was the first bald cooter that I had to that point.

R.I.P. Pop Icon.

Well I guess everyone is entitled to their opinions, but believe me you're in an extreme minority laughing at the idea that Mercury is one of the top 3 front men of all time.

Whoever it is you include in 'we', all of you are wrong. Congrats on the paranoia and assorted psychoses.

know I'm going to take shite for it, but I'm 100% sincere, this is bigger than Prince. If you ask me to list the biggest pop stars from the 80's, MJ would be #1, George Michael would be #2.
That's insanity or stupidity. I liked GM but by almost any possible measure Prince was much more of an icon. Longevity, overall talent and achievements are a few objective criteria.

"Don't let the sun go down on me" with Elton John was some good vocals

Whiny ego-driven Feuds on obit threads are bad form. Can you wrap it up soon, so people can express their thoughts on George Michael's death?

Jim Hawthorne's brother caught AIDS from Joey Mercury

More like "don't let your son go down on me"

This has to be a joke. Freddie wasn't even Top 10. You could easily find 10 bands from the UK in just the 60s that had better.
Lizard king is the greatest frontman of all time imo.

I don't like getting into these pissing matches, so I won't.
Just wanted to say Geoff Tate was one hell of a vocalist as well.
ETA: GM and Freddie were damn good.

Really think about that for a moment. It's fricking terrifying. It's like staring into the abyss only to find the abyss staring back.

No I'm not.
McCartney
Lennon
Jagger
Daltry
Elvis
Cobain
Morrison
Cornell
Axl Rose
Plant
Dylan
Bono
Perry
Tyler
Ozzy
Hetfield
Bowie
Hendrix
Springsteen
Lemmy
Grohl
and others can routinely be found to rank above Freddie depending on where you look. There are some lists of top 10s that don't have Freddie anywhere even in the honorable mentions and some have him #1. I'm not the only one to have an opinion that varies from yours.
Freddie was great. Queen was great. If you just want to talk live performances, then sure, throw him and Queen in the top 10. Overall, Freddie was not top 10 and Queen was not top 10.
I can't remember the drummer's name at the moment, but he's concretely top 10 of all time for rock.

I think that album was an audio aphrodisiac.
