Yep. I have my daughter looking at colleges outside of LA hoping she gets out.

I was born and raised in the heart of Cajun land. I graduated high school then attended 3 colleges in three different states. I cherish my culture and family, but at 38, with three daughters, I couldn’t even dream of living down there. Public schools are nicer, crime is way less, price of living is less. Growing up I’d never thought I’d feel that way but I do.

According to who? If there’s a reputable publication with a survey/study on this I would love to see it.

I value freedom of choice. So that immediately rules out about half of the states right off the bat. Mississippi has cheap land, low property tax, great infrastructure, didn't cuck out on vaccines and masking, the people are very friendly, they recently passed constitutional carry, they have sports gambling, Etc. It's a freedom-loving people that are resilient and have common sense.

What drags Mississippi down is the same thing that drags down every state at the bottom except for West Virginia. We all know what that is.
