I don’t have any doubt that there is an exodus of sorts from the state. With that said, it’s not like LA is going to become Detroit.

It’s happening right now. I just sold my house in Bakersfield and had 3 or 4 showings for people leaving LA. Real estate agents are getting more clients from LA wanting to move into the Central Valley where it’s cheaper and you can commute into LA 1-2 times a week.

The one family I personally know that has left the area is a household of gun loving trump voters. Hopefully the majority of those fleeing are similar.
