Oh this is my favorite part. Where the conservatives decide they don't like letting private businesses set their own rules. Unless it's about a birthday cake or something serious like that.

that is how I paid for college and how I figured out how to properly deal with people- there is usually an underlying ill-developed coping skill underneath all the wrath and karen-esque bs.
that being said- the mental aspect of dealing with people with piss-poor coping skills is the most draining part of every job I have had.

Bad customers aren’t new. They may be getting shittier and becoming more numerous apparently. I try to not be them when I shop retail. Courtesy goes a long way.
There could as easily be a thread however on retail employees who lack competence and are missing the necessary and critical component of GAS. Give A shite.

as beneath you as this comes across- these parts of the job are actually some of the areas where you can provide care and still protect and ensure for a patient's dignity and make them feel ok to need help.
god forbid you actually hold a job whose crux is serving people when they are the most vulnerable.
