Kids don't have enough homework these days.

That's part of the problem. I used to go to my room at 5 and do homework until 11pm.

Start with having dinner together every night.

I plan on playing Xbox with my family but the deterioration of coop games are killing that dream. Help restore the coop.

Not really. You know the divorce number are very skewed right? The vast majority of married couples do not divorce. but the ones that do, do it a lot.

I agree, but look at television and how people treat dating these days. Dating is a complete game for most people. That attitude spills over into marriage, and its no wonder people never even really know each other until marriage. Think about what Tinder is, and its wildly popular, its literally a dating version of roulette.

Where the frick do y'all live? All I see around me is families....literally, every kid gets picked up from school by at least one family member...no kids show up to yacht club alone.

Just wait around a little longer. That's not really good evidence.

I'd kinda like to hear what you consider "traditional gender roles".

I agree, and teachers should be able to beat kids in school again. I acted a fool in the 2nd grade once, my teacher took me out in the hallway immediately and gave me three licks with a big assed paddle. No trip to the office, no call home, no time out. Here's the kicker. I never fricking acted a fool like that again. True story.

I'm a slow learner. I can't count the times I was paddled in school.

I'm not a Mormon but i do like their idea of
"Family Home Evening" (aka FHE)

refers to one evening per week, usually Monday, that families are encouraged to spend together in study, prayer and other activities. According to the LDS Church, the purpose of FHE is to help families strengthen bonds of love with each other as well as provide an atmosphere where parents can teach their children principles of the gospel.

FHE includes a game or fun activity, treats, building family bonds, etc. The responsibilities for each evening are often rotated among family members, so that even the youngest may be assisted in planning the activities. . Family issues may be addressed and resolved while discussing things in a fun filled time of togetherness.

No thanks, big brother. Besides I'm single with no kids. I'd like to not have to read by candlelight.

Sad that people think that all Mormons are radical, polygamous. batshit-crazy and have so many kids and wives.

Many Mormons are NOT radical and are fairly normal people and you would never know they were Mormon if they did not tell you.
