I’m part of a group that I have donated money to that are cooking and delivering food and other stuff .to hospitals and such.
The nursing home workers sure as hell appreciated the gesture this past week.
Btw most school systems are still providing meals to any kid who wants them and even delivering in some cases.
OP is a looser

Because this is America and businesses can choose to donate to causes they want to. What are you suggesting, that someone or some entity mandate where they can donate to? That American flag and ‘Maga USA’ next to your handle is pretty disingenuous. Why do you hate freedom?
You’re lazy, be the change you seek instead. Start a business, make some food, and donate it.

Question: I have yet to hear of a 1st responder starving to death during their service.
Also, how often are you donating food to the needy?

Wouldn’t it better served doing this at closed schools as where there are many kids going without breakfast because school is shutdown? Kids walk up or drive up with parents and get a little bag of donuts

No shite, the OP is complaining about what charity someone else gives to.
Miserable.

I can make N95 masks for hospitals.
Not donating a single one.
Not when they charged me $2500 for some xrays a few years ago.
frick em. Pay me.
eta-And $26k helicopter rides for the parents.
$7k ambulance rides.

It’s also a way to say thank you. Actions speak louder than words.
And advertising. It's good advertising. It's too bad they new food like poboys isn't getting invented from these things though.

Went to a hospital and fed the doctors and nurses yesterday. Absolutely took the time to get some social media advertising out of it

I am a first responder. I have said this shite since this first started and they wanted to bring us food. Some fast food places give us free food if we go in uniform during shift. I DONT NEED THE FOOD. Furthermore, I haven’t taken the food. There are people without jobs. People whose hours have been cut. Give them the food. I haven’t missed a paycheck.

Several fast food places here in town are giving first responders and healthcare workers a flat 50% off. I would imagine that is getting FULLY exploited by those people.

It's a show of gratitude
I get that. But what y’all don’t get, and shamefully, many first responders as well, is that this is our job. Nothing more, nothing less. We aren’t going to war where we’re sleeping in a hole in the rain, not able to see our families for a year or more. It’s what we get paid to do. There is no reason for thanks, or gratitude, or free shite, or acting like we are doing something that we didn’t sign up for. People get sick. People get injured. The increase (albeit small) in folks needing medical attention for Covid is offset by the decrease in basically everything else.

I’d be more interested in how much food is getting thrown away because these hospitals are getting SO much.

You should do a little research first before you make yourself look stupid
