Is it the beer garden that's been rumored to be going up for approx. 10 years?

No. That is supposed to be on the lot at Steele Blvd and Government where Lobianco’s Grocery used to be.
Not sure what they are opening but originally that was a Pitt Grill. Then at one point it was MOP’s Meat Pies which was owned by Mary Olive Pierson and they were damn good.

Chinese joint of some sort is what I read in 225.
Me and the boys in the office are going to destroy.
ETA: Old Rotolo’s spot. Not sure exactly where OP is referring to.

I don't know how you can get a buffet wrong, but if anybody can, it's Popeyes.

That one in Golden Meadow was the best after a full day of fishing and beer drinking.

I think the Asian place is going up at the old Rotolos down the street.

Not me. I eat her cooking in Fouchon often and the lady can cook. She can also fish.

It's gotta be that Sqaure 46 place, right?
Square 46 will be the first development of its kind in Mid City / Government Street area of Baton Rouge. The 25,000 square foot mixed-use urban development is located in the trendy Capital Heights neighborhood in Mid City on Government Street and will set the new standard of city living. The sustainable community will be home to some of the most unique residences, restaurants, cafes, boutiques, and businesses around. After taking in the scenes of Mid City, you can retreat to your urban oasis above it all. Within walking and/or biking distance to so many landmarks, it just makes sense to call this place your home. Dream out loud and welcome to Square 46.

Seems like false advertising as it looks rectangular to me.
