His van before it broke-down didn't even have AC. It was awful.

If you only get enough for a transmission and do that, I might be able to fix the AC for just the cost of parts. What year and model is the van?

In for $25 (sorry not an OT baller). Got burned on here for the last GoFundMe for Tanden but this one seems more legit. I hope you're able to get to a van or someone on here can fix the previous one. Sounds like your dad is an extremely hard worker and I can admire that especially in old age for providing for your family/sister. Good luck

Thank you so much. Even $1 is huge. Someone in this thread I think on page 2 verified they actually know my dad which is so awesome.

I have been on here since 2008 and was streaming LSU baseball and even football games back on JTV when Jumbo Sports and Geaux Zone were things.

I actually have an e-mail from Coach Paul Mainieri's brother thanking me for showing the games back when SEC network was not a thing and their dad had no way to watch the local games that were broadcast on CST.

His own father had no way to watch the games except I would stream my local CST on Justin.TV.

As a thank you his brother sent me official LSU gear. This is my dad wearing the jacket Mainieri's brother sent me.

I don't want to share too much, but just wanted to try to validate a little.

You could probably figure this one.

Thank you! Such a nice offer. It's a 2009 Ford E250 I think with like 250,000+ miles. The doors are rigged in the back just to stay shut and rain pours into the van. When it did drive well he had to keep the windows down, because exhaust would somehow leak inside the van. The side door has some other rigging just to stay on. It's pretty rough, but it served him well. I just don't know if it would be worth all that, but if we can't get enough then absolutely. That is so freaking nice of you. I will try to return to let you know.

My e-mail is cajunomics@gmail.com if you want to reach out.

Yeah 250K is a lot of miles but at 86, he only might need to get another 50K out of it before he can’t drive anymore.

Look into Social Security DAC (Disabled Adult Child) benefits and Louisiana's Medicaid HCBS Waivers, if he hasn't already. Depending on how much you raise with the Go Fund me account look in to an ABLE account. The first 100K is "invisible" to needs based programs. That's is my very limited knowledge of solutions for you situation. It would not hurt to talk to an attorney about a Special Needs Trust but that can get expensive. Perhaps an OT attorney can chime in at this point.

Thanks RIPMachoMan. I don't blame you for being skeptical or having questions. That's super fair. I am willing to provide as much info as possible to validate myself. I appreciate the others that already have vouched for me. Hopefully others can scroll through the pages to see some of this if needed. I have been around here a very long time and I am not going anywhere.

And thanks to anyone else who is willing to help I really appreciate it.

Glad to have you aboard, baw.

The OT is pretty good about sniffing out bullshite grifters, but this ain't one of them.

Hell...I bet we get some great new videos to watch during LSU baseball games out of this too.

I donated 200. I hope OP and his father have a blessed day!

Also LOL at how many 350 dollar donations there are. Classic OT
