My friends daughter was a counselor at one of the camps. She was pulling kids from windows of the cabin in the middle of the night last night. Her best friend who was also a counselor was swept away trying to save kids. There were 4 other little kids with her. She somehow kept them all above water and they got into some makeshift island 6 miles down stream. What a hero that girl is.
That's incredible that they all survived.
That counselor is a fricking hero.

Post got deleted I hope it wasn’t a BS report

How could those girls still have their flip flops on? Seems fishy.

Weird. It worked when I first posted it. So did ECB's. Now, they're both dead.

What did the report say?
Basically that the girls had been found on an island with the owner. It was a screenshot of a text thread.

I actually wondered that when I first saw those pics earlier today.

Clearly that’s not her flip flops she has on.

Yeah those things look way too big for her

May not be her flip flops I doubt that someone would still have on their waders after the flood, and as fast as the waters were.

I get that as a possibility. But helicopter rescue victims from these sorts of scenarios usually look a whole lot worse than that. Wasn't it supposed to happen at 4 in the morning? Theyre fairly clean and dry and well dressed for girls who got washed away by a flash flood in the middle of the night

They also could have been girls that got away from the floodwaters and were stranded at the camp. They have been using choppers to get girls from the camp that didn’t get caught in the water and flying them to a central location to reunite them with their parents.
The road leading to the came is impassable so they have had to use helicopters to get them out.

Went to Camp Stewart for 6 years. Was stuck on the senior side of the Guadalupe in the famous flood of 78. It was the scariest thing to see all of the houses, barns, refrigerators , etc rushing down the flooded river.
Mother, Sister and nieces all went to Mysric. This is so incredibly sad. Damn.

Some of you people,
I guess the media is making this up, or this is Trump doing this to distract us from the big beautiful bill

This reminded me of an event in Arkansas in 2010. These sites should be located well out of potential harm’s way..
I had some friends that were caught in that. When they tell the story chills will go down your spine. It was truly a survive or die situation for them.
