I don’t think people realize how many interactions they typically have on a daily basis. The doors, chairs, handrails, tables, etc you touch combined with the people who touched them recently as well. And then simply the people you walk by or see. One stop at a gas station puts you contact with 50+ people alone if you walk inside and grab the handle.

Isn't this basically what you'd expect?
Generally our immune system only goes downhill as we age. Children should be the first group we think will do the best vs Covid.
The flip side is elderly people generally have the worst immune systems. Thus, no shock they do the worst with Covid.

Generally children do poorly with viruses. Think how children handle the flu. Think how serious RSV or croup is etc etc
It’s usually more of a bell curve on how it is bad for the young, then improves for middle aged people, then bad again for the elderly
This is somewhat unique that children seem somewhat not affected
