Someone, probably an insider, hijacked the display screens at Ford’s Detroit offices to directly attack the CEO. I’d bet before its over, theres going to be blood on the floor at Ford IT and a lot of those ops will be outsourced to contractor companies going forward.

quote:

As Ford Motor Co. attempts to transition to a four-day-in-the-office workweek, someone is not happy about it and made it known on Oct. 2. A Ford spokesman confirmed there was an incident early in the day in which someone put up an image on meeting room screens across the corporate offices in Dearborn, and possibly other facilities, that protested the return-to-office policy on Oct. 2.

"We're aware of an inappropriate use of Ford's IT technology and we're investigating it," Dave Tovar, Ford spokesman, told the Detroit Free Press.

Tovar said the image was up for "a short amount of time" and Ford was able to quickly remove it. He said the company is investigating whether the image appeared only in Dearborn offices or globally.

Farley mandated that employees return to the office four days a week earlier this year and it has been in place since Sept. 1, with no fallout such as people quitting over it, Tovar said. Therefore, Tovar said, "I wouldn't be able to speculate on it, as to why someone would do this."

Explain how an employer is entitled? How is a private company, who is requiring working in office, entitled?

The horror

And of course this is easily traceable and someone will be fired, and yes, Ford might outsource some of it's IT as a result. Fools and idiots walk among us.

Because they want you to show up to the office 4 days a week.

The auto industry has great benefits and compensation compared to most industries.

Requiring RTO and then making you work from home after hours and be available 24/7 is pretty entitled.

the fact that this was probably done remotely should settle that little debate

I didn't claim Ford was an entitled employer. The guy commented that entitled employees are a cancer, so I inquired abt his feelings towards entitled employers.

Is it not an at will employment opportunity? You can simply not work for said employer. It’s not entitlement, it’s the requirements of your job.

Ford is publicly traded. The employees are likely owners.
