It's odd that there have been no press conferences so far. Where's our fearless state leader and his bad weather visor?
ETA from Facebook:
He must be out of town. And I think his people read this board.

I’ll be joining WWL Radio at 9:15 AM to discuss the impacts from Arthur. Tune in!

Good on you for stepping up. Good luck to your mom on her recovery.

Jeff Landry said "frick those models" and went to bed. His advisors told him Peej hadn't given the all clear so no need to worry.

I remember you from a few years ago. You offered HTS a place to setup!
Thanks for the offer then, hope we never need you again.

I went to bed expecting a deluge from what the weathermen prognosticated
It's a beautiful day. I don't think it rained all night

I'd love to have been getting twatted for the last five hours. That sounds like a great time, though I don't think I could keep up for that long.

I wish. I was woken up at 5am with a tornado warning and am now watching river water creep toward my house.

Radar estimates are pushing 12" in some areas out there.

My cousin works in emergency management for Ochsner. He just texted me and said they've currently got multiple 7-ton trucks running nonstop ferrying employees from a parking lot on Loyola Drive through water to the big Ochsner in Kenner.

Steve Capahoweveryouspellit said storms could "train" over the area once the low passed or was passing through. Is this what we are seeing in Avoyelles?
Asking because I'll be relieved if its occurring further north than anticipated.

Did it just completely go around BR? I woke up at 1 am expecting a downpour and...nothing. Figured it would come after I went back to bed

The original big front/cell went straight over NO and missed BR completely and another big cell bloomed up about 2 hours ago and has basically parked itself over Avoyelles.
The bottom of that second one is probably getting BR wet judging by the radar, but overall BR didn't get any of the nastiness.
