I urge you to continue to post and read in this thread. By posting, you will likely, at some point post something that is factual. The odds are in your favor. By reading, you may learn something about a subject you clearly have no knowledge of.

You are completely out of your depth here.

would this be the first terror attack on US soil that actually used an automatic weapon? This is extremely uncommon
Last time I specifically remember one being used was in that horrible California bank robbery. It's almost statistically impossible to get your hands on one unless you robbed someone you knew had one.

Some idiots are assuming he brought a SAW up there. One guy honestly suggested it was a Gatlin gun, and he was serious about it

Because our forefathers wrote this thing called "The Constitution". Problem is, they didn't know anything about automatic weapons.
That damned pesky constitution keeps getting in the way of our progress.

They aren't unless you get a federal stamp and are willing to pay $20k+ for one of the only 240K automatic weapons left in the USA. Those 240K weapons are closely monitored by the Feds as well.
Also, only 2 deaths since 1934 have occurred by legally owned automatic weapons.
Do some research, idiot.

Semi-automatic weapons are legal, not automatic. In his position he could have had a rifle and 30 round mags with additional mags to do this.

And this type of misinformation is what is used as a basis to take away your rights. People that have no fricking clue what they are talking about.

Let’s wait and see if it was truly an automatic weapon.
Do people realize how inaccurate a fully auto weapon is on full blast? That wouldn't make sense to use at the distance he was shooting at.

can afford the tax stamp (last time I looked into it over $10K),
I believe the stamp is still $200 but it's the rarity of the guns that makes them and the process expensive.

Well....I mean you can put together a trust and get one. Same deal to get a supressor, it's not easy, but not impossible.
Though, to carry out an act like this takes just two things. Mental illness and a willingness to die taking as many with you as you can.
With that mentality, any weapon can produce terroristic results.
He could have bought a dozen crap rim fire 22s. And still killed with that vantage point.
While the weapon makes it scary, the only real thing that keeps us safe is lack of crazy people with this will. When they do emerge we get the same results. Rather than gun control, I'd put more into mental health.

While true, I'm not sure firing into a crowd of 22,000 people requires a lot of accuracy. His target was close to 2 acres....The 2 acres was what fox said...which seems odd.

All for people having guns but why have Military assault rifles even available to anyone besides military is beyond me.
People always post this line without doing research.
What's the difference here?

Same ammo. Same rate of fire. Same velocity. etc
Oh one looks tactical so it must be more deadly!!!!!
Quit reposting shite you hear on CNN and you won't look so stupid.

Or rammed the crowd with a car, built a pressure cooker bomb and set if off in the middle of the crowd, etc
Someone sick enough will find a way.
