I remember as a kid thinking how cool Razor Ramon was not knowing he was a regular white guy acting like a Cuban lol
At that time you had characters who were badasses and had their own swag to them. When I see my son watching wrestling now they are all the same to me.

Strange thing to be thinking about this late on a Friday
Just go watch the rock in fast and furious 27 and rub one out

Supposedly Vince had never watched Scarface when Scott Hall pitched him the Razor gimmick

I always enjoyed the undertaker vs mankind matches. Anything with stone cold made me want to run through a brick wall lol

I've thought the same thing for a while now. Wrestling in the 80s and 90s was infinitely better than today. Is a shame, too, because it is something I'd love to watch with my kids if it wasn't so boring now.

Pretty much verified and wouldn't surprise anyone probably.
Vince is the same guy that once had no idea what the hell a burrito was. Some intern food ran lunch for the company one day and came back from a Mexican food joint and Vince thought the kid made the word up.

Anyway, I'm not going to pretend to argue that the product the WWE presents now is anything like it was when I was younger. It's not. I still watch every week, but it's not as good.
But if you want some intriguing storylines, captivating personalities, and absolutely incredible matches, WWE's developmental brand checks all those boxes in spades.
And so do several operations outside of WWE worldwide. You just have to look for it.

My new I-phone has an app that pins champion wrestlers.

The Internet actually is the culprit behind WWE's switch.
It exposed so much behind the curtains of the wrestling business that WWE couldn't put on the fantasyland type of show anymore.
Instead they had to switch to a more "real life" type of show where wrestlers acted like normal people.
ETA: I preferred the fantasyland type of show of the 90's. Don't watch it anymore.
