Everyone knew it was fake then and it didn’t stop them from doing what they did. They should have stuck with the old stuff because it was much more fun

It was more fun but the smarks killed it.

Jim Hellwig, he was a piece of work. I trained with him off and on for about a year in Phoenix in the early 90's. He and I were fine but he was an a-hole to many people and was very shitty towards women. I met him when I was dating a girl and she asked if I had any friends to set a friend of hers up with as she just broke up with her boyfriend. Turns out she got dumped when her and the guy she was living with went out for dinner one night and when they returned all her bags were packed and put on the front steps by the butler. That's how she found out she got dumped. Turns out the girl was a Penthouse Pet (a chick named Melissa Wolf) and the guy was The Ultimate Warrior. They briefly reconciled and that's when I met him.

it's not just wrestlers. It's entertainers on all levels. Actors today are just so meh. They're all the same thing.

Wrestling in the 80s and 90s was infinitely better than today.
And wrestling in the 70s was infinitely better than the corporate created prima-donnas of the 80s & 90s.

It was hood when it was just promos, the ring and the occasional locker room brawl. Now it is all storyline crap, a tiny bit of wrestling and pay per views.
