Remember trying to sneak back into your house, only to find your parents waiting for you?

My parents never were that scary.

I would have emancipated myself.

What would be worse having them stare you down and lecture you or having to hear Trump breathe in your face?

I never snuck out. If you were bed checked you did not have “ plausible deniability “. You were caught. If I wanted to go somewhere forbidden I would just say we were going hunting or fishing overnight. We starting going to the camp unsupervised at 13 years old. If I was going to pull a stunt I always had a way to get out of it if caught. I used to be as slick as grease.

Once you got to be like 14 if you went out and then back home you were just dumb as said above. I always had 2-3 friends with shite parents that I’d ‘spend the night at’. My parents likely knew we were up to no good. But especially once you can drive and had a car you could sleep in. Simply ‘stay the night at Joe’s house’ and do whatever we wanted.

I will without a doubt be putting a tracking app on my kids phones and hold their arse accountable. Mostly in case of emergencies.

Ugh, I’ll never forget the time I snuck back into our seaside cottage after a night of unbridled debauchery with the lads after our prep school midterms. Thought i had it under control, killed the engine of my Aston an extra few feet from the drive, carefully pressed the door shut, tiptoed up to the vestibule and there, lo and behold, was father waiting with a cup of yerba mate and his versace belt. Needless to say I slept on my stomach for the next several nights.

I didn't get a chance to listen but I was at the gym when this came on and first thing I thought of was how creepy that fricker looks and he reminded me of Norm doing Bob Dole.

Haha, your dad wears a Versace belt.

My dad would have beat me with his Purdey & Sons belt for punishment and irony.

Looking back on my teenage years, my dad was a badass, I just didn't realize it at the time. I one time, developed a habit of sneaking in and he never really knowing when I got in. His solution to that was to rearrange the entire furniture set up from the front door to my room while I was out. Imagine my surprise when I started a series of dominos about 3am one night. Here's to you Pops
