This was not self defense in any way. This former Officer needs to spend his life in jail. He took another man's life for no reason.

Solely based on the brief video...it certainly looks like a very questionable shooting !
What part of the video is questionable? If you're saying that there's a chance it was justified, then that's patently false. He was in absolutely no danger from the man he shot.

Idiot shouldnt had ran. His own fault. He had warrants, didnt obey orders and ran. He chose to die. Good riddance

Except that's not a justifiable reason to shoot someone. ..

You're willfully ignoring the entire point. No one is arguing that the guy had warrants or should have been arrested. The fact is he was shot in the back while running away from the officer.
I typically have no sympathy for these lowlifes, but the guy didn't deserve to die.

Would you mind pointing out the spot in the video where the officer reasonably felt his life was in danger?
Thanks.

Yeah, he definitely murdered that man. He deserves to go to prison for the rest of his life.

Yes, the point when he pulled his gun and shot him.

the cop didn't know there was a warrant out for his arrest when the altercation occurred ... and the cop seems to have attempted to cover up the shooting, to some degree, by his actions at the scene and his testimony about what happened ... in addition to the whole shooting him in the back thing ...
he's a dirty cop ... dirty cops should go to jail for a long, long time ...

I don't try to be a dick on this board, but what in the sam hell are you talking about? Even if the officer did somehow delusionally think his life was in danger, that doesn't mean his life was in danger. Certain things aren't subjective. Anyone watching that video can see the suspect clearly running away from the officer, how could he have been in any danger at that point?

No kidding. Leave it up to the OT to rant about rioting and disorder while embracing the breakdown of law and accountability governing police officers.

Um you mean when the perp was running away from him?
Yeah not sure that's legal. In fact a couple of prosecutors thought it was illegal too.

I think the defense was built around whether or not the guy tried to take the taser from the cop, which was always pretty flimsy

Because there are too many OleYeller's left in this country. Fortunately they're in the process of dying off.
