It was a bad shoot. The cop is indeed guilty of the crime to which he pled.
Having said that, it appears many of you are unaware of a few things.
1) There is more video available that was not shown.
2) The guy fled from the traffic stop and was chased by the cop. They fought for a good while before the scene advances to the point of that video.
3) It was alleged that they fought over the cop's taser gun and even that the cop may have been shot by the taxer at one point.
4) The object that the cop moved closer to the downed suspect was his taser gun.
The cop's adrenaline was sky high after a prolonged physical confrontation/fight, and at one point may have been justified to use lethal force. In a split second, the situation changed when the suspect began to flee again. The cop made a terrible and criminal choice to shoot the dude in the back, and then moved evidence probably in an effort to change the crime scene to try to explain his actions.
The cop will serve a long jail time and deservedly so, but I don't see anything about this case that makes him the archetypical "bad cop". He made a terrible and tragic mistake.

I have no problem with black people. I dont care if the idiot is white or pink. Dont break the law, dont fight cops, dont flee from the cops and then get your arse blasted and put the blame on someone else.

It was indeed bad. Nevertheless, an instantaneous reaction in an Oh shite moment is not the same as a cop having premeditation, like carrying a throw down weapon in his trunk.
Again, the cop would have been justified to use lethal force earlier, but he didn't. It seems if he was a shoot first, ask questions later, he would be a better fit for worst cop of the decade.

It's against the law and the department's policy to shoot a fleeing suspect in the back in the manner in which the officer did.... He broke the law. Don't know why you're sticking up for a pussy criminal like this officer.

I think you're giving this dude a shitload of leeway. When has covering up a crime, especially one involving the death of another person, been not enough to determine if someone was "bad"?
Doing a bad thing is bad. Doing a bad thing, and then covering it up is always worse. Always.
