Look at the musical notes.
Then look at the front window. Some of the shadows. Some of these little subtle things and then see if anything pops out at you
I think these illustrations have really gone to your brain

Man...now i’m Doubting if I’m seeing it
.
I swear it was there. It was so vivid. Like I could see where the illustrator hid it.

Yes! My elementary school library had it. I wonder if they still have it.

Haven't thought about these in 25 years lol. Two was the best one if I remember correctly.

I use to be obsessed with the Bermuda triangle and at some point I think I checked out every book about it at the library.

What am I looking for with the musical notes and the hearse?
Loved these books as a kid, and yea, the drawings always freaked me out

Loved these books;had them as a kid and they got lost over the years. I bought them again a couple years back off eBay so I could have them again. Creepy stories and creepier drawings.
Slight hijack, does anyone have the link to the creepy pasta thread here? I can't get the search function to find it.
Edit: nevermind I found it stories

In junior high, I ordered the book "Red Dragon" by Thomas Harris using whatever the equivalent of the scholastic reader program was back then.
I doubt they had vetted that book prior to adding it to the catalog.

First thing I noticed was 2 stick figures boning doggy style in the back of the hearse.
