Most of my bdays growing up in the 90s were at Pizza Hut then we’d walk next door to the bowling alley. Good times.

Same. Red Lobster was always my pick every year on my birthday for birthday dinner.
Mine too. I remember arguing with a kid who said Ryan's was "fancier". Poor fat bastard.

The ultimate irony is the fact that the idiots advocating for lockdowns and masks are the same ones that are about “taxing the rich” and “equal pay” but fail to see that the largest benefactors of the lockdowns have been the major corporations like Amazon & Walmart due to capital and scalability.

What was that pizza called that they used to have that was a crust on the bottom, then a layer of multiple cheeses, with another normal pizza on top of it? That thing was damn good.

I'm not sure but I swear I remember when I was a kid they had sauce stuffed crust but I could be misremembering.

I remember there were no re refills, adults wouldn't let the drinks be brought out until the pizza arrived.

I remember that ours would bring a pitcher of soda(usually Sprite because my hippie mom didn't let us have caffeine), and once that pitcher was gone, mom would make us drink water.

Pizza Hut was the largest purchaser of kale in the country back then. Used solely to decorate the salad bar.

I have a buddy whose Dad retired from the produce business. He told us that was the only thing folks used kale for back in the day.

He laughs at people who eat kale now. Vile weed.

My mom must have thought soda had vitamin c in it or something because that's all we drank.

That's actually quite illustrative.

I don’t think Pizza Hut has made the best decisions from a management standpoint. A new Pizza Hut doesn’t even look like a Pizza Hut anymore. It looks like a Taco Bell. The original restaurants had a nostalgic value and they just threw it in the trash. Also, the pizza isn’t that good anymore.

That's 100% true.

My dad was kind of a hippy. At least, he was "hip" to the benefits of eating kale about 40 years before anyone else was. He'd ask restaurants to rinse some off for him and put it on a plate and the staff would look at him like an absolute lunatic.

miss the old days. People actually went places with friends and family. They didn’t get everything delivered. And when they went places, they didn’t sit around staring at their phones.

you can fix this you know.
