I’m extremely immature, but my friends and I still quote the shite out of Adam Sandler’s cd’s that he put out. That’s just one example, Dennis Miller has some good albums he put out. No one still does this I’m assuming, everything’s a podcast or a Netflix special

When I was young, I would listen to this one Brian Regan live album (from ‘97) over and over and over. When Christmas would come, and I’d be up at like 3AM while the rest of the house was sleeping, I’d listen to that album and Albuquerque by Weird Al to pass the time until the allowed hour when I could wake everyone else up

We’re kindred spirits. Take Luck.

I sang Albuquerque for a grade school talent show when I was a kid.

There just doesn’t seem to be much point to putting out an hour of comedy in an audio only format when you could put out an hour of comedy in a video format that can also just have the audio pulled if wanted.

I'm a bit older than OP, but I remember wearing out my Cheech and Chong comedy album. That shite was hilarious.

Man
There was a jim Rome cd, he was making fun of a neckcar driver, played an interview with the driver, you couldn’t understand anything he was saying. Rome just started ripping him. It was good stuff.

Same. My dad had some (for the time) pretty raunchy Redd Fox albums. Bill Cosby before he went full wack job was pretty funny.

This was always the case though. It's not like we didn't have video cameras in the 90s
