Apparently there are 81 Kenny Rogers Roasters across Asia. It seems that orientals love roasted fast food chicken and the gambler.

Kenny Rogers Roasters had very good food. It had to be mismanagement of some kind to make them fail.

Still have some a&w's out west. I ate at a Bob's Big Boy on a recent trip to Michigan and it was awful

I used to really like Mr cook. I think it was just a South Louisiana thing... They had the best fries.

The company owned stores were called CSOs (Catalog Sales Office), the franchise stores in even smaller towns were Merchant Stores. And in even smaller towns were Franchise offices which were essentially local businesses who had catalogs and were paid a commission on what they sold.
Up until the early 80s, Sears was still making a ton of money on each of these operations.
