Saving hundreds a month in gas probably would be better than paying for college tuition in the future.

I put a few hundred a month in a 529 plan and my kid's tuition is handled.

Nope. I remember when gas prices were reasonable and didn't go up 6x our inflation and Exxon not making record profits for an inelastic good that prohibited competition.

Whether somebody complains about oil prices or brags about them it doesn't have any effect on the price.

People get mad when someone is happy about filling up at $23 but whether we like the prices or not has nothing to do with how much oil OPEC decides to over produce. Theres nothing anyone in the US can do about the foreign crude prices so suck it up and stop bitching.

This is coming from a oil field service company worker/college student.

I guess you people weren't alive in the 80s. If you think you work in an industry in this state that wont be affected by this oil crash, agricultural crash and budget crisis you are in for a rude awakening.
