If your house is older, check the cable in your attic. We were having problems that we thought was Cox Internet related, but it turned out that it was our ancient cable. My husband put in a new one a few months ago and haven't had a problem since. Cox changed out the old cable from the box to our house about three years ago.

Att fiber if it’s available

It doesn’t get any better than EATEL/Rev. I’ve had them for eight years now but I had Cox before. EATEL is light years ahead of Cox.

T-Mobile Home internet has been good for me. Had it 3 years now. Not a huge internet household. 3 Tv's. 2 internet cameras, 2 phones. 1 tablet. Wi-Fi Thermostat, Wi-Fi Doors. Wi-Fi Plugs. Only $50 a month. Just need a plug and it runs on 5 G.

Starlink is what you need.
You need a pretty clear view of the north sky. Download the app and you can scan your area sky for obstructions.
Easy to set up, reliable and blazing fast in all weather.
Haha.. I even got to witness the snow melt feature here in south Louisiana which worked flawlessly.

Wish I could get ATT fiber. Not run in my neighborhood yet.

This is my opinion, but if you get rid of Cox, the next best option is Youtube TV.
Over the years there have been times when the Cox in my area was spotty, it would last for several weeks then all of a sudden there are several Cox trucks throughout the neighborhood doing work for about 2 or 3 days then its smooth sailing until the next time.
Actually the last time we had that problem was during the pandemic. Late spring 2020. I remember this because everyone was having problems for a at least two months, everyone was calling Cox and they were telling everyone that the problem was not able to be fixed internally and that they would have Cox reps out as soon as they could. It took another month from there for them to come out. It was bad at that point. There were days it would go out for hours at a time, then the next day it would be smooth sailing for a good three hours then it would go in an out for the next two.
I did switch to AT&T for 2 years, this was before the pandemic and in my experience it wasn't that great. What turned me off was that before I got it I asked the sales rep if I was going to have a problem when the weather gets bad. He fed me some bullshite about how AT&T spend hundreds of millions of dollars launching a new satellite and that at worse the signal would be at 98% in bad weather, but if a bird pissed on the small satellite they put up, it would start to scramble.
The thing with Cox is that they will always try to increase their rates on you. You then have to call and tell them that since it has gone up you are switching to a cheaper platform, then they take away the new fees, but I would give youtube tv a try. You will still need to keep Cox internet.

Att is now offering ATT Air. You plug into wall and it connects to cell towers.

AT&T since last summer and it's been great. Cox was also too expensive.

AT&T converted me to fiber after the copper lines crapped out ~5 years ago.
Other than a dead modem/router (lightning strike) and a utility crew that cut the main fiber line, it's been flawless.
AT&T "customer service" still sucks.
