I can't relate to her struggle in any way, but I found this article interesting and insightful. I wonder if there are any parents here who feel similarly.
Bro, you're full of shite here. It's pretty transparent what you're doing and that's trying to peddle the childfree lifestyle and shite on kids that we need to maintain our society after we're long gone.

Every parent in the history of the world has felt like this at some point.

Some people shouldn’t be blessed with children. She’s one.

She sounds like a selfish bitch.
I can't imagine what kid of soulless person honestly thinks of kids as nothing more than a burden to people that just want to get their frick on and go everywhere.
These kids are the same people that are going to inherit our society and it's our responsibility to shape them as best as we can instead of thinking about and chasing after trivial pleasures.
My mom always tells me how she feels so lucky she has me and my brother in our parents lives and will especially need us when their health starts to fail and need to start transitioning to the afterlife.

Yep, desperate attempt to validate a childless lifestyle.

Is this Kibbles?
How long until she drowns those children?

Myself, my wife, and most of the parents I know, the one's that say they haven't are lying or in denial.

But in the end, those with kids will not regret a thing. When her kids graduate college and hug her and say "thank you mom I love you", it'll all be worth it.
22 years of mostly shite for a few days of bliss? Pass.

This is why single moms always put out.

Not everyone wants kids. I never did. It was just not something I desired and would have sounded like this woman. Not wanting children doesn't make someone bad.

Everyone envy’s what they don’t have until they have it.

I just never had a mothering instinct. But I am great with kids. Taught pre-school gymnastics in high school. We had the neighbor and their kids over and while the adults sat around and drank, I was in the backyard with them, doing flips and playing tag.
ETA - I guess I never really grew up myself. While I pay a mortgage, etc. raising a child would be too much real responsibility.

and a lot of people have kids just because they think they're supposed to, or are pressured into it

After 9 paged did we conclusively decide it’s better to have kids or not have them?
It’s the OT. I come here for advice and fundamental life lessons

That friend that she’s envying is probably hiding her loneliness by posting pictures of her drinking on planes

No, it doesn't make someone bad. It's the responsible thing to do if you think you don't want them.

While she’s sipping sparkling wine as she jets from London to New York, I’m downing tepid coffee as I drive my kids to ballet and swimming lessons.
Blah blah.
I couldn't care less about jetsetting to trendy destinations or drinking sparkling wine (and the author could easily do this before bed). Her friend is just collecting a bunch of stuff she can't take with her.
I'm single with no kids, but my idea of a good time is watching my nieces at athletic events or theater events.
