Hyperbole.

First thing I thought.

quote:

who writes bestselling chick-lit novels

Read: Who's written a couple of e-books that have been downloaded a few thousand times.

quote:

runs a media empire

Read: Runs a one-person social media marketing consulting business. One of her clients is a small grocery store chain in Canada owned by her dad's friend.

Who knows...maybe she's telling the truth. But from the content of the article, I'm betting that she just wanted to sound like she was well-connected.

That’s mostly why I quit posting on Facebook. I got tired of running into people and hearing “wish I had your life” or “do you ever work?”

Would be interesting to know what makes her think she's qualified or talented enough to be all of the things that she wishes she could have been...

This sounds like someone who thinks life in general comes without consequences for choices made.

What path would you prefer I take? Having kids because of societal pressure and hating my life, or realizing I'm selfish, not having kids, and slightly hating my life less?

I'm the same way. I go out multiple times a week and enjoy a nice, quiet apartment when I get home from work (live by myself). There's not a snowball's chance in hell that I'm ready to give all of that up right now.

Absolutely! When I lay my two year old daughter down for bed at night and she grabs my neck and says, "I love you Daddy", everything else you deal with as parent for that moment is worth it.

plus the bitch is in denial. She thinks that since her childless friend is living the 'glamorous life', then she would be doing the same if her husband didn't trick her into getting knocked up. Bitch, without your man's money, you probably wouldn't have shite.

Welp. Maybe should have stopped after 1 kid. I'm friends with a couple who is always complaining about their 2 kids and they just announced that they're expecting a third. Gluttons for punishment.

For a moment, there are moments every parent has like this, but the times that your kids give you pure happiness and joy far outweigh these moments of wanting something different.

That's beautiful. It's basically the same as having a really affectionate dog. I had a dog that would look cuddle with me and give me longing glances when I'd lay him down for bed. He'd put his paw on my cheek, ever so gently, and smile at me. He didn't have to say a word; i knew how much he loved me. I imagine that's how you feel.

It's truly beautiful

She sounds like she has no soul.

Even with a kid and a wife, the same "fire" that burned in me still does, I channel it more into my work and my hobbies.

I work a job that is gratifying where the sky is the limit, and I love my family.

I'm happier than I've ever been and more fulfilled than I've ever been.

While I treasured my college years, there are still many things I have yet to, and look forward to conquering.

I feel sorry for this ghost of a person that has no soul or passion.

I don’t. My wife and little rugrats are the most beautiful people I’ve ever seen. Every one of them is a good, decent person.
