It's a Mexican restaurant now.

Your post made me thing of Sangrai Wednesday during the summer of 2009. My god it was glorious.

It seems like running a college bar is one of those businesses that you want to make sure you always have a few fat envelopes nearby.

That's at least 2-5 years away. I could see that area exploiting if the right bars open up there.

Also the area across the street from TS is being developed.

If they tore down the wall and made Fred'a bigger, or even just gave it a second room, it would immediately become the second best gameday weekend bar in the SEC.

I used to go take over the DJ booth most nights. We knew all the bouncers

You're probably right but they'll be in for the same fate

Agreed. Wouldn't touch that area with 100 foot pole (business wise).

In my opinion:
The TL area's crime is getting wayyyyyy worse than it has EVER been. The cell phone videos of the fights and heavy handed (to put it extremely lightly) interactions with the bouncers is only going to get worse & more likely to make the news. The new br administration that is even cracking down on downtown br bars will continue to see TL as an extremely easy target for additional revenue derived from alcohol violations.

These bars' entire business models were basically built off of having underage, overly intoxicated people overpay for crap alcohol under the assumption that baton rouge would continue to turn a blind eye to it all... despite constant violence caused right outside their doors by their customers and employees.
