Who really cares? I hate Trump, refuse to vote for him or Clinton....but I'll give credit and thanks to Trump for showing up and helping out. Even if his motivation was to score more votes(and I mean...it's obvious that is the case)...he still spent money on a truck full of goods that will help others that are hurting right now.

I'm with the OP. Most definitely. Kudos to The Donald for getting. the spotlight on the situation in S. La.

And Pres. Obama, most of the golf courses around here are water logged, so don't bother packing the clubs.

Other than my mom telling me about the floor, I didn't hear about it anywhere else except on Univision and telemundo.

Then I finally made it home and saw how bad it was

Regardless of political affiliation, Trump should be thanked by TT9for bringing the devastation in Louisiana to the news media. They've been awful at covering it before he went there. As a democrat I'm embarrassed at how Obama and Clinton have handled this, the "party of the downtrodden" my arse.

Well he did donate 1.4 million, and an 18 wheeler full of supplies, so there's that too.

Glad you finally came to your senses.

Amazing that it took someone like Trump to do that.

Exactly. If we remove the politics from it, I appreciate any type of help anyone provides, as long as it helps others, it really doesn't matter if they do it completely out of self-interest, but if you bring the politics back in, it still doesn't make me a Trump supporter.

Why does everyone care more about what the politicians do than the people who actually do things to help, because they feel its the right thing to do?

Because politics has become a team sport. It's no different than an SEC football game.

My team is better and more honest than your team that only wins anything because you're a bunch of cheating cheaters

Callers were calling in and saying how they didn't realize just how bad it was in Baton Rouge and the surrounding areas until they heard it talked about on the Finebaum show. People called in saying they donated to a certain charity or did something to help and wanted to encourage others.

Disregarding the sarcasm in your post, this hits the feels. Some good folks throughout SEC country, even if they can't stand LSU or have a deep seeded hatred born of a football rivalry. It's just a game, and it's great when something happens that shows how even the most diehard fans of other schools recognize it.

and thanks to the crazy finebaum audience.
