for bringing the devastation in Louisiana to the news media. They've been awful at covering it before he went there.

As a democrat I'm embarrassed at how Obama and Clinton have handled this, the "party of the downtrodden" my arse.

I agree. He's drawn attention to the needs of flood victims, which have been ignored by the media until his visit.

Since he came, Obama and Hillary have pledged to visit after Bill's birthday celebration in Martha's Vineyard this weekend. They will eventually draw international attention to the tragedy although they should have been here sooner.

I'm sorry it took personal loss for you to realize this.

It was always true.

I think people are finally paying attention to the needs of the victim....and the admirable way the state has come together.

Taylor Swift donated $1 million.

Yep.

The national media is covering the tragedy now. There's much more awareness today than 36 hours ago.

I know your posting for a long time.

Seriously, do you think this is new? This is the game. They always act this way.

He never cared. Hillary never cared. The DC elites never cared.

Did you never realize this?

Last week I listened to the Paul Finebaum show, at some point when he was on, just about every day. Every time I listened, he talked about Baton Rouge, Marcus Spears was on there explaining how his parents house had flooded, as well as him grandmother's.

Callers were calling in and saying how they didn't realize just how bad it was in Baton Rouge and the surrounding areas until they heard it talked about on the Finebaum show. People called in saying they donated to a certain charity or did something to help and wanted to encourage others. Spears was also in contact with friends in the NFL who called and wanted to see just how bad it was and they were all doing something, but they didn't like to get the attention for it.

Someone should start a thread thanking the Paul Finebaum show & Marcus Spears.

How many hours and how much have you donated?

You're a regular poster here...come on big shot.

Yes, the massive flood of tweets and him talking about non-stop at rallies drew lots of ears and eyes.

Give me a break. He barely mentioned it, just like clinton, and did a photo op.

whats the big deal over everyone complaining about lack of media.. i mean its already depressing as hell to live through that. Why would you want to see it in the media everyday? I dont get it.

This.. I don't understand where the people who say he brought a bunch of attention to everything, is coming from. He showed up on a Friday, went to a few obvious locations, did what you expect any candidate running for political office would do, then left.

All I saw in the news was.

TRUMP'S CAMPAIGN MANAGER QUITS
donald trump visits flood stricted areas in south louisiana.
